My Fitness Journey
Fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As soon as I could take myself off to the pool and join a gym in my teens I did. My passion grew for many years. It was gym, swim & classes that I used to keep myself fit and active. In 2015 my inquisitive nature took over and I discovered running, outdoor swimming and triathlons. My love for this has grown so much that I went back to studying and qualified as a personal trainer (gym instructing & personal training), open water swim coach (STA) and triathlon coach (BTF). Running & triathlon opened up a whole new world of fitness achievements & goals for me. Weight training has enabled me to build a stronger body to achieve goals and combat any injuries. This journey has allowed me to build my experience and qualifications to work with and support my clients. Fitness is a love and passion that I never tire of. My love for events has continued to grow. I still take part in events each year including marathons, triathlons and open water swim events. I have experience in all distances as an athlete and coach. My passion lies in long-distance endurance training and events using weight training to build a stronger body. Swimming Windermere 10.5 miles end to end in a solo swim was a huge physical and mental personal challenge.
As a mum, I am also extremely passionate that fitness is part of family life, and racing events are a family thing. Fitting fitness into a busy life is hard to do. I can help my clients to do this. Anything is possible with help and support.
Seeing people achieve their goals however big or small is job satisfaction for me. Watching people grow in strength and confidence makes me smile every day. I love what I do and feel privileged that I get to do this.
